The automatic track gauge changing technology has been a remarkable success in Spain. In fact the old spanish problem of having two different gauges has been overcome by using these systems.

Since 1969, more than 300.000 trains hace changed gauge in the automatic changeover facilities. More than 50 high speed trains -both CAF and TALGO technologies- change gauge every day, connecting the high-speed lines with the conventional network.
